Simba
Simba, the king of the sheepdogs in Steineck, whose nickname “Dicker” comes from proven old GDR bloodlines. He is a good-natured, calm dog who is always friendly toward all people and animals. He especially loves sheep, female dogs, and children :-).
The big guy has grown into a magnificent male dog. Physically, he takes after his dad, “Zorro vom Flossgraben,” in many ways. His incredibly expressive head and well-proportioned build, in particular, immediately give away who his dad is.
Our Simba loves running alongside a bike, Canicross (dog-pulling sport), long walks with the pack, or just lounging on the couch and being pampered—just like a king.
At the dog park, he’s up for anything fun—but when it comes to serious work, that’s when his stubborn streak kicks in. He’d rather be pampered and enjoy every bit of affection instead of working. Sometimes he hops… yes, you read that right—he hops around the dog park with joy, which has made some people smile at us when we come to the park to work. We still fondly remember the puppy classes, when Simbi had to be dragged along because he didn’t want to walk at all, so “hopping” is definitely an improvement. einfach eine Knalltüte unser Simba! Besserung ist in Sicht, mmmmm so etwa 2025 ……..
wir arbeiten dran.
But when it comes to his home and his pack, he takes his guarding duties very seriously. More than a few people have gotten a scare when “Big Guy” suddenly appeared out of nowhere in Steineck.
Still, we all love him, and we’re so proud to have such a magnificent dog in our breeding program.
